IPWireless Mobile Broadband Products
IPWireless' mobile broadband products provide seamless, secure mobile broadband to subscribers using the UMTS international standard. These products are described below.
High Speed Network Access Devices:
IPWireless is currently shipping PCMCIA card modems and pocket-sized desktop modems that use USB or Ethernet to support PCs and LAN gateways. Both devices are plug-and-play, have low power consumption, support multi-megabit downlink speeds and are equipped with SIM card readers to support secure provisioning, authentication, and roaming. In addition, IPWireless partner companies have developed Integrated 802.11b gateways and Integrated VOIP gateways.
Network Products:
IPWireless hardware, software, and network management products enable service providers to build flexible, low-cost networks that offer non-line-of-sight, high-capacity coverage over wide areas. The technology deploys rapidly because it operates in as little as one channel of the 2.5 to 2.7 GHz MMDS/ITFS, the IMT 2000 1.9 to 2.2 GHz or the 3.4 GHz frequency bands and overlays existing cellular sites and infrastructure.
