IPWireless Makes Repeat Appearance on AlwaysOn's Second Annual List of Top 100 Private
SAN BRUNO, CA - July 6, 2004 - For the second year in a row, IPWireless has been named to the AlwaysOn (AO) 100, an annual listing of the top 100 private companies.
AlwaysOn, an open source media company focused on technology and business innovation, and KPMG's emerging business practice, KPMG 1Start, compiled the second-annual AO100 list. The two groups surveyed more than 1,000 venture investors, investment bankers, top entrepreneurs and executives, who nominated more than 700 companies to determine the AO100 winners.
AlwaysOn and KPMG 1Start identified the 2004 AO100 companies based on their demonstrated leadership and innovation in two key areas: market traction measured by revenue or customer growth and new approaches and technologies that are likely to cause significant change to existing markets and well-established players.
IPWireless provides Mobile Broadband, advanced wireless communications technology that combines the speed of broadband with the freedom of cellular. "IPWireless offers the fastest and highest capacity Mobile Broadband platform in the world today, giving mobile operators and broadband service providers a highly successful business model while improving the lives of their subscribers," said Chris Gilbert, chief executive officer, IPWireless," We are honored to be recognized again this year in the AlwaysOn list of the top 100 private companies."
