William Jones, Ph.D.
Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder
Dr. William Jones is the CEO and a co-founder of IPWireless. With expertise in technology development and operations in the high-tech industry, he is responsible for the overall development and delivery of the company's next-generation high-speed network and products. Since 1984, Jones has worked in both research and product development roles on FDMA, TDMA, and CDMA wireless technologies. In 1988, he joined AT&T (which became Lucent Technologies) and took senior roles in the development of GSM, 3G, and fixed wireless technologies based on TDMA and CDMA. Jones' work at Lucent included managing Lucent's AirLoop product line from conception to deployment, managing Lucent's GSM Microcell product line , and the lead role in developing Lucent's European wireless standards strategy. From 1992 to 1995, he led a consortium of academic and industrial partners on a pre-competitive research project on the application of WCDMA for 3G. Jones has published many articles and holds patents on CDMA technology. Jones holds a first class honors degree in electrical and electronic engineering and a Ph.D. in radio frequency (RF) engineering from University of Bradford, England.

Dr. Alan E. Jones
Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Alan E. Jones is Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of IPWireless. Alan has been with IPWireless since its inception in 1999. He is responsible for systems engineering and standards. Alan began his career at IPWireless as technical director and was responsible for system engineering the IPWireless solution for mobile broadband data. Alan holds several patents in wireless communications and has published numerous technical papers in the field of communications. Prior to joining IPWireless, Alan held lead engineering roles at Motorola and Hewlett Packard Laboratories. Dr Jones holds a Ph.D and a Bachelor of Engineering degree both in electronic engineering from the University of Bradford.

Malcolm Gordon
Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
Malcolm Gordon, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, joined IPWireless after 16 years in telecommunications with Lucent Technologies (formerly AT&T), most recently as head of business development for fixed wireless in Europe. Gordon has worked in both the UK and the United States, including two years at Bell Laboratories in Chicago. Since 1992, he has held key development roles for both GSM and WCDMA fixed wireless products. Gordon holds an honors degree in computer science from Heriot-Watt University, Scotland.

Roger P. Quayle
Chief Strategy Officer and Co-Founder
Roger is the Chief Strategy Officer and Co-Founder of IPWireless. Before founding IPWireless, he worked with Qualcomm and led that company's successful effort to standardize CDMA 450 technology in Europe. His other positions include Chief Technology Officer at International Wireless Communications, Inc, an owner of cellular operators in Asia; and General Manager of Technology and Business Development at BCL in New Zealand. Earlier in his career, Roger was the founder and CEO of Datacom Equipment Ltd. in New Zealand.

Jon Hambidge
Executive Vice President Marketing & Business Development and Chief Marketing Officer
Jon Hambidge oversees all global marketing and public relations for IPWireless. He is also responsible for the company’s initiatives to promote the UMTS TD-CDMA standard around the world, serving as the Chairman of the Global UMTS TD-CDMA Alliance. Prior to joining IPWireless in 2001, Hambidge ran various marketing functions for NorthPoint Communications, a national DSL provider in the United States, including brand and acquisition marketing, channel marketing, marketing strategy, and a number of strategic marketing partnerships. Prior to joining NorthPoint, Hambidge spent over seven years at Charles Schwab & Co. in a variety of marketing and product management functions. Hambidge holds an MBA from The Haas School of Business, the University of California, Berkeley and a bachelor of arts in Economics and Rhetoric from the University of California, Berkeley.

Roger Nichol
Executive Vice President Technology and Chief Development Officer
Roger Nichol is Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer at IPWireless and has been with the company since its inception in 1999. Roger is responsible for the hardware development of the company's UMTS TD-CDMA network access devices and Node B base-stations. This includes digital and RF circuit design, ASIC and FPGA development, mechanical design, manufacturing testing, and product introduction to manufacturing. Prior to joining IPWireless, Roger had over 20 years of lead engineering roles at Lucent Technologies, Orbitel Mobile Communications and Cray Communications among others. Roger holds a bachelor of science in Electronic Engineering from the University of Natal, Durban South Africa.

Peter Humphreys
Vice President Asia Pacific
Peter Humphreys, Vice President, Asia Pacific, brings more than 20 years of international telecommunications and IT marketing, sales and management experience to IPWireless. Humphreys has been based in Asia for nearly seven years and has been focused on Asia Pacific for the majority of his career. Before joining IPWireless, Humphreys served as vice president of Asia Pacific for Efficient Networks, the leader in DSL broadband user equipment, which was acquired by Siemens AG in 2002. Before joining Efficient Networks, Humphreys held a variety of management positions with Nokia Telecommunications, where he was responsible for Nokia's infrastructure sales of fixed networks and Broadband access as well as for mobile and fixed infrastructure marketing throughout Asia. Humphreys was part of the founding team of the successful Australian ISDN start-up Jtec Pty Ltd and played key roles in its growth in the Pacific and UK. Humphreys earned a Bachelor of Science, Computer Science and a Bachelor of Engineering, Electrical at The University of Sydney.

Kevin Worrall
Vice President Global Services
Kevin Worrall is responsible for Global Services; the group supports partners and customers who have deployed IPW networks. Mr. Worrall has worked in the Telecommunications and Broadcast industries for over 30 years and has held engineering, development and project director roles in GEC, British Telecom, BBC, Crown Castle and Microsoft. Mr Worrall earned a BSc degree from the University of Glasgow and a MSc degree in Communication Technology and Policy from Strathclyde University.

Kevan Johns
Vice President Finance
Kevan joined IPWireless in 2001 and has responsibility for Finance, HR, Facilities and Administration. He has over 30 years of high-tech experience initially training as an Engineer with Westinghouse. After periods in Tyco, National Semiconductor and Mitel in Senior Finance positions he set up and ran a Management Buy Out formed from Mitel's Manufacturing Division. During his varied career he has been responsible for European and Far East operations, including foreign acquisitions, joint ventures and closures. Kevan is a Chartered Management Accountant.
